600 Polaris Open Mod

This sled started out as a well-worn 76 Polaris 340 TX. It was stripped down & a 795 Polaris triple was installed. Ran strong but we didn't want to take a chance of wrecking the motor.

That motor was pulled & a 340 Starfire TX motor was built & put in. At this time the chassis was redone as well. The steering shaft & post was cut down & shortened, the front spindles are from an old Ski-Doo, the springs were cut from a 92 Phazer TSS, the hood is a 92 Pantera, rear foot pegs made from a 72 Panther tunnel.

Sled ran well but was not as fast as it should be. The free-air motor was pulled & a 600cc Polaris liquid was installed. It runs one heat exchanger on the right side. The tunnel was lengthened, the rear suspension re-worked & a Wahl Bros race track was installed. The hood was cut from an 88-89 Yamaha Exciter. The exhaust pipes are from a 72 Arctic Cat EXT 650. We run it in 600 & 700 cc Open Mod.

Thank you. We try to build what we can & not spend much money. This sled was built for less than $1000.00 U.S. total It has beaten much more expensive machines. That is what we enjoy about it.

Tacka dig. Oss försök att bygga vad vi kan & att inte spendera mycket pengar. Denna sled byggdes för mer mindre, än $1000.00 sammanlagda U.S. det har slagit mycket dyrare bearbetar med maskin. Det är vad vi tycker om om den.
