Arctic Cat Collectors

Inlägg av iceman » 31 mar 2009, 17:59

Many of you are probably aware of this site but I thought I would post a link to the collections or "showroom" area of Boss Cat Legacy. It seems the Cross Country Cat & later model El Tigres are popular in your country & there are some nice pics of them in here. If this is posted in the wrong area, I appologize & feel free to move it to the appropriate forum. Thanks

Some nice Cats you have there, Mr. Samhain

Is that your old Duster in the backround of the one picture? The one you recently sold? I should have known by the registration numbers, very different from ours over here in the states.

Some of ours are shown under Darv & Ike Jahnke.

Many of our friends are shown on there.

Ron Kaiser likes to build mild custom sleds. He also has more 793 Hirth motors than anyone I know, dozens.

Jeff Kolnes lives about 50 miles away in Moorhead, MN. They are fighting a bad flood right now. I volunteered to keep a few of his sleds dry for him  . He also has a very nice General Lee Dodge Charger.

Darrell Dey is a good friend of my fathers. He collects mostly antique, rear engine machines. Very good welder, fabricator.

Don Lingenfelter likes to build "shiny" custom machines. Also owns a nice Plymouth GTX.

Tom Ische bleeds Arctic Cat green blood, has a nice collection of Sno Pro & race machines. Very good attention to detail.

Don McLennen has the website, "Don's Vintage Cat's". By far one of the nicest people involved in the vintage skoter hobby regardless of brand. He regularly rides his 793 King Kat on trail rides-and he is getting close to 70 years old. He still races and up until about three years ago, he ran in a 100 mile lemans style endurance race. Not bad for a man his age.

Wayne & Cindy Kuster have an impressive collection of Cats but their collection of vintage Arctic Cat clothing is unreal. They have just about one of every piece of vintage Cat clothing made. Again, super nice people.

I have never met Any Avelis in person, only on the phone & e-mail but he is also a very avid collector and supporteer of the vintage hobby. Never to busy to talk sleds or help out a fellow collector. His collection is the largest I know of. I hope to see it in person one day.
